About Us
Get a Grip is solely owned by Paul Blair. Get a Grip was formed in 1994. Paul Attended Old Dominion University and studied business administration, with an emphasis on marketing and management. Paul started and developed small construction projects as a Class A contractor specializing in coatings, industrial floors, and decorative floor systems. Later, he developed a regional terrazzo flooring business, installing both cement and epoxy terrazzo in schools, universities, hospitals, and Class A projects. Jobs included dealing with local, regional, state, and federal funded projects. Examples of these installations include Virginia Beach Public Schools, the Virginia Department of Transportation, Fort Lee, West Point Military Academy, Old Dominion University, the University of Cincinnati, the US Federal Courthouse in Atlanta, Mississippi casinos, and most recently, Sissonville Middle School in Sissonville, West Virginia.
Paul has compiled individual mechanics with over 45 years of experience. He also employs various workers from all over the United States that have over 100 years of experience combined, working on some of the largest jobs in the industry. Paul has traveled hundreds of thousands of miles learning and examining various projects in the industry.
Jim Sauceda
Project Manager
Jim Sauceda has been in the construction industry for over 15 years and specializes in project management and marketing. Jim works with all owners on a day-to-day basis to ensure that jobs are followed through to completion and that all aspects of the job are done in a satisfactory fashion. Jim has worked as a liaison with various city, state, and federal officials, as well as general contractors in order to make the jobs go smoothly. Jim’s marketing experience has enabled him to obtain new contracts for various projects and is responsible for making sure that these projects are followed through, start to finish.
